Hello Peeps! In this tutorial we will learn how to create a cool 3d effect using photoshop and Xara 3D. Lets check out what we are going to create.

We will use Xara 3D to create the letters, you can download the demo version of xara 3d [click here]. Lets get started with Xara 3d, power up your xara 3d and create alphabets! Anything of your choice. Check the images below for creating alphabets in xara 3d.
Once you start Xara 3d click ALT + T and you will see this text window below!

After entering your alphabets/word press okay and follow the next image!
.

After creating each alphabet you will have to export it and save it as .png format. Click FILE > EXPORT
Check out the image below for reference.

Once you have successfully saved this letter in .png, repeat the above steps and save all your alphabets in png format.
Now Power up Photoshop and create a new document of any size you wish, I created a document of size 800 X 600! And pull in all your alphabets you saved then go ahead and arrange all the letters. My letters look like these after arranging.

Once that you have arranged all the alphabets now we will add the shadow. Hold CTRL+SHIFT and click on all the alphabets, once you did it you will end up selecting all the alphabets then create a new layer below all the alphabets and fill the selection with back. To fill it with black your foreground color should be black and then hit ALT + Backspace.

Now we will add Gaussian blur to the shadow layer! Click Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and enter the settings shown below

Once you added Gaussian blur settings then reduce the opacity of that layer to 50% and add one more layer above shadow layer and select a soft brush of 50px and with black color paint just below the alphabets. Refer my image

Now we will go ahead and add layer styles to each alphabet, you can keep experimenting on blending options of your own choice. Here are my blending options. (to get layer styles double click on alphabets layer or just right click and select Blending options)

Here is my result, I tried various Blending options and I ended up with this. Try varying blend mode of each blending option to get good effects!

Now we will add gradient to the background, select the gradient tool from the tools options and use my settings below for gradient color which I used.

I selected Radial Gradient and went from center to bottom.

Now add some vectors, I used ink splatter vectors from here add it below the alphabets. You can check out other brushes here , use Edit> Transfrom> Perspective to get the perspective view.
Here is My final image
