Step 1

Take the picture of planet Earth as new layer.

Step 2

Draw some shapes to makes cracks.

Step 3

You can just play with cracks as you want.

Step 4

So we get this.

Step 5

Now make new layer behind the earth with Elliptical Marquee Tool.

Step 6

Use Layer Stile on second Layer.

Outer Glow

Gradient Overlay

Open new layer and draw shapes of light.

Step 9

Color that layer in red and resize Layer Opacy to 15%. Make Gradient Overlay in Layer style.

Do same with different layers and color.

Step 11

Use eraser to get some effects.

Go back to Earth. Select that Layer then go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates. Do like in picture.

Step 13

Then go to Filter> Stylize>Wind. Do like in picture and repeat this step 3-4 times.

Step 14

Go back to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates, select Polar to Rectangular.

Step 15

In the end select Linear Burn for Earth Layer.
